The inception of Paragon 69 dates back to January 1987, when a desire of imparting quality education to the society, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and economic status turned in to a vision of serving the residents of SAS Nagar, Moahli at the times when Mohali was still in its infancy stage with the state of education in a total neglect.

Paragon 69 began its life journey with the noble vision of its present Director Sardar Mohanbir Singh Shergill and First Lady of the school, Sardarni Karminder Kaur in a rented accommodation of 200 square yards ( 8 Marlas) in Phase-X. Recognizing the efforts and the contribution of the school towards an educational cause, the school was granted affiliation by PSEB up to matriculation initially in 1992. On the parent’s demand within three years, the school was upgraded to the level of a Senior Secondary School and was duly affiliated up to 12th standard in all the streams viz viz Medical , Non- Medical , Commerce , Humanities (With vast combination of subjects).

In a short span of time, the school started soaring high and established itself in the list of the most sought after educational institutes. Due to the continuous swelling in the school strength, the school management was compelled to change the location of the school to Sector 69, to a campus of 1.60 acres which was allotted by Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA), now GMADA.

The present school building stands amidst posh locality of SAS Nagar, housing other important government offices, private and corporate institutes and is well connected by roads to Chandigarh, Panchkula, surrounding suburbs and the villages, making it easily accessible.
